You Have the write to heal

Sharing your story can be met with mixed emotions, but it can also play a crucial role in your Healing Journey. There is no right or wrong way, or wrong or right time to share your story, this is your Journey!

We believe that the soul weighs heavily with the silencing and that a time will come when it feels right to want to process, a great therapy is writing therapy, but one of the hardest things to do can be to put pen to paper.

If you feel you are ready to share your story, we provide a free online support to help you.

You can decide to:

Write your story with the support of our Q&A story writing guidance sheet and we will provide the support during this time of processing, as a form of therapy.

Share your story to support our campaign, to be shared on our website page ‘Your Stories’ for either research, statistics for law changes, to improve practices, or to simply inspire and empower others.

Publicly share your story with the Media. This may seem scary, however we can provide you support  from lived experience of reaching the Media. Using our positive and negative experiences, to provide expert support, so you can speak out safely, remaining strong and structured.

Mentoring was not accessible to Mayameen, as she relived the trauma and you can see her Media reached outlets on her About page.  There is however a vulnerability all over again, it can feel like a minefield when the momentum subsides, you start to feel that your voice is being diminished.  A strong support system in place is vital.

Speak Out Support Includes:
  • Providing you with a Q&A Guidance Sheet to help you begin writing your story.  Preventing the ‘I don’t know where to start’ and allowing a process of empowerment during the Q&A’s.
  • Online Emotional Support via Email as you re-tell your story and meet with the emotions of that.
  • Connecting you to the correct Media outlets, should you wish to consider publicly sharing your story.
  • Supporting Safety Measures by Signposting to Local Organisations and Authorities, as necessary.
  • Exploring other means of Support/Services should you feel you need it, once you embrace the Journey of release.
